One Day

7.00 a.m. The first children arrive.
7.30 a.m. Early birds We all prepare breakfast together
8.00 a.m. Free-play We play in the large classroom until everybody has arrived
9.30 a.m. Morning circle We sing international songs, discuss our plans for the day. We also look around to see who`s missing.
9.45 a.m. Breakfast We eat breakfast together in the diningroom
10.15 a.m. Clean-up We clear all our dishes from the table and then brush our teeth
10.30 a.m. Group projects/free play We separate into small groups to take turns in working on projects with our teachers. The others waiting, can play legos or building blocks, read books, play dress up, do puzzles, colors or simply watch. The older kids do activities that prepare them for grade school.
Duties We also take turns in caring for the animals, setting the table for lunch and helping prepare lunch.
11.30 a.m. Clean up We clean up after ourselves. Then we sit around the tables and either sing more songs or talk about things that interest us.
11.45 a.m. Fresh air! As long as the weather is good, we go outside on our playground for outdoor fun and games.
12.20 a.m. Clean-up We cleanup our toys and games from the playground.
12.35 a.m. Stuhlkreis Then we go upstairs to sing, talk or read a book together, in a circle.
1.00 p.m. Lunchtime We eat lunch together in the diningroom.
1.30 p.m. Clean up We clear our dishes from the table and brush our teeth again. We also take turns in cleaning the tables after our meal together
1.50 p-m. We say „goodbye-until tomorrow“ to the half day kids
2.00 p.m. Pick up, Free-play,
Nap time
The half day kids are picked up; the two year olds nap, and the rest of us have free play
3.30 p.m. Snack time The two year olds are woken up and we have a snack together.
3.45 p.m. Group activities/free-play Depending on the day of the week, the older kids can either cook, play computer, do woodwork or crafts. The others have free-play.
6.00 p.m. We eat supper together in the diningroom.
7.00 p.m. Pick-up time We feed our animals. Then the remaining kids are picked up.
